Nursing Students' Perceptions of Peer Evaluation in Group Work at Bethlehem University, Palestine - مفهوم طلبة التمريض لتقييم الأقران لعمل الجماعي في جامعة بيت لحم، فلسطين

This study aimed to explore the perceptions and experiences of peer evaluation (PE) in group work (GW) among nursing students at Faculty Nursing Health Sciences, Bethlehem University, Palestine spring 2016. While previous studies have examined importance PE GW a variety disciplines higher education, researchers not paid much attention assessment Palestine. A qualitative approach was used on sample population third- fourth-year (n = 70) University who had participated courses least three times. Results revealed that participation promoted students' leadership skills, team spirit, self-confidence, respect for others, while significantly contributing their professional growth. The results also highlighted challenges such as distributing assignments groups providing clear specifications leader's role. showed main facing were lack objectivity, fairness, anonymity, criteria, well limited items forms. recommended development faculty handbook containing guidelines PE, conducting training sessions students, encouraging all members use routinely teaching practices.
